Brut Rosé

Only the second ever expression of this wine ever made, the Digby Vintage Rosé 2014 proudly follows in the footsteps of this English producer’s maiden 2009 release.

Made only in the years when Digby’s Pinot Noir fruit is of exceptional quality, this is a rosé that isn’t afraid to make a statement. Full of generosity, its creamy elegance gives way to a gentlemanly richness, making this sparkling wine a highly versatile companion at the table or alone with a glass.

On top of the 60% Pinot Noir base that forms this wine’s core is blended 10% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay. The grapes represent a true cross-section of southern England’s finest chalk downland soils, from Kent in the east to Sussex, Hampshire and Dorset at the western end.
Much of this highly charismatic wine’s intensity and vibrant color derives from the use of Pinot Noir red base wine, a proportion of which is fermented in oak.

Attractive concentrated red apple fruit and autolysis complexity on the nose and palate. This brims with flavor - a real showboater. Long, fragrant, exemplary finish.
