Want some serious Shiraz for a little more less than 3 gallons of fuel? Look no further. This is a really, really legit wine that is actually made in a vineyard and not bulk juice from who knows where.
This comes from three vineyards, one in Kangarilla, one in Mclaren Flat and one in Sellicks Beach. All parcels were crushed, destemmed and left on skins for approximately 10 days during primary ferment. The parcels were then pressed and kept separate for malolactic fermentation. A portion underwent malolactic fermentation and maturation in new and one year old French barriques to add complexity.
This has notes of ripe cassis and warm blackberries over hints of coffee, tar and licorice. Medium-full bodied, crisp and with a medium level of chewy tannins, it finishes with good persistence giving lingering licorice notes.
