Riesling Kabinett Tröcken
Rheingau

This is 100% estate fruit from Johannisberger Vogelsang, a vineyard that sits directly above Schloss Johannisberg. The steep slopes promote increased stress on the vines aiding in the intensity of this wine. For as lithe as it is on the palate, there is plenty of natural extraction.

This evinces smoke and crushed stone in the nose, accompanied by a greenhouse-like amalgam of things both leafy and flowering. Fresh lime and grapefruit, winter squash, and under-ripe apple form a satisfyingly juicy base for herbal, floral, seedy, and mineral nuances on a subtly silken yet persistently energetic palate.
