Block E sits adjacent Kevyn’s (winemaker) orchard, along the Eastern perimeter of Pyren Vineyard. Just 0.9 acres in size, this small plot of vineyard has consistently produced some of the most concentrated and intensely flavored fruit on the property. The label artwork for this wine is representative of the stark backdrop that is presented over the fence line from Block E.

A brooding, dark purple hue is the first vital sign that this wine is very much alive. Primary fruit aromas of cherry and plum are folded into a bouquet of vanilla, spice, pepper and mocha resulting in refined generosity on the nose. The palate spectrum is wide. Plum, liquorice, mocha, star anise and white pepper. 20% new Freach and seasoned American oak enhance sliding graphite tannin with true substance and purpose. This will cellar with confidence.
